Illinois New Principal Mentoring Program

Mentoring Entities

Mentoring Entities are charged with the responsibility of providing direct mentoring services to new principals.  Each INPM Mentoring Entity has met the program’s standards and criteria and has been certified by the Illinois State Board of Education to provide mentoring services. If you are a new principal in need of a mentor, a current or retired principal wanting to serve as a mentor, or a school district in need of soliciting the services of an entity, please click here to find a complete listing of all certified INPM Program Mentoring Entities in Illinois.  Important information and resources for current Mentoring Entities and the application process for organizations looking to become a Mentoring Entity can be found here.  Questions should be directed to the INPM Program Manager.

Instructions for Completing INPM End-of-Year Survey

End-of-year surveys for new principals, mentors and mentoring entities are now available on the INPM website.  All of the surveys can be found on the Program Evaluation page.  Each survey is also available on the appropriate page, i.e., New Principal, Mentor and Mentoring Entities.

All new principals, mentors and mentoring entities are asked to complete and return the required survey as directed by June 30, 2008.  It is anticipated that it will take less than 15 minutes to complete the survey. Mentors who serve more than one new principal are asked to complete a survey for EACH new principal mentored.

No new principal or mentor will be identified in any way in the tabulation of results.  Identification information required on the survey is for verification of completion purposes, only.  All results will be shared with mentoring entities, mentors and new principals who currently participate in the INPM Program.

New Principals will need to use their IEIN as their identification number.  This number can be accessed on-line as follows:

Entity Status Report SP 08

The current status and 08-09 planning document we discussed at Regional Meetings has been placed on the INPM website page for Mentoring Entities.  Please complete and return this brief questionnaire to Rashonda (rashonda@ilprincipals.org) by March 31, 2008.

This is a word document that you can download, complete and return as an attachment.  The information you provide will give a picture of where we are right now, help in planning for next year, and begin the process of making improvements/modifications to your proposal that was the basis for your past and continuing certification as a mentoring entity.
